Dream, Plan, Execute

Mission

The mission of Kinsmen Consulting is to help small to mid-size manufacturing businesses understand and improve their operational systems, processes, facilities, and equipment through a variety of services.

  • Machinery selection based on project specific parameters. Research all machinery options and present recommendations, layouts, power, air, waste collection coordination, WIP flow and management. Third party analysis - no ties to distributors, brands, software etc.

  • Production communication, planning, and scheduling. Systems and software review and recommendations

  • Machinery maintenance planning and management

  • Subcontractor auditing

    • For firms who utilize subcontractors, we will visit subcontractor factories and prepare scorecards focused on KPI's and provide recommendations to reduce risk and increase efficiency

    • We review subcontractor processes for production management, quality, redundancy, and help both the subcontractor and customer set goals and expectations that will lead to long term successful relationships

  • Production flow analysis. Bottleneck identification with plans to mitigate and increase throughput including ROI analysis for any required capital investments.

Do any of these statements resonate with your organization? If so, we're here to help

I'm trying to solve a problem in my day-to-day operations and I'm struggling to find the best solution or make a plan to implement it

A new project just came in that is different than we've tackled in the past. We need to make sure we have a plan to get it done and don't want to let our customer down.

My manufacturing business is full of skilled workers and we a good amount of work but we're still struggling to find consistent volume and profitability from month to month

We need to find a long term strategy that actually works. It needs to fit our strengths and give us some guidance as we continue to grow

Our firm is regularly looking for good subcontractors to partner with but we need to make sure we select the best partners and keep tabs on their performance. We've been burned in the past by failing subs and can't afford those situations again.

We're finally in the middle of a big project to update our facilities or equipment and its pulling our resources away from our regular work for customers. We need help getting through this project without seeing our customer's work suffer

We need to update our facilities and equipment and there are so many options out there we just don't have the time to figure out what the next best solutions are for our team.
